What?
A chance for Zimbra Community Managers and Developers to meet, chat and learn from each other. There will be free pizza courtesy of Zimbra and a talk on how Zimbra is being used by different clients and partners, this week’s talk will be:

Evolution of the Macmillan Online Community

The Macmillan Cancer Support Community is one of Europe's largest online peer support community, providing 24/7 support to 72,000 visitors per month.

In July 2014, after 3 years on a highly customised (and now unsupported) version of Zimbra Social, new features were hard to add and improvements were needed. The decision was made to upgrade and move to a later version. Two paths laid ahead, taking the opportunity to rebuild from scratch on the latest version or iteratively work through the various upgrades.

Hear how we took the less traveled path, using agile and continuous delivery techniques, user consultation and changing the way we worked together to upgrade the platform, and improve the functionality, releasing in small manageable chunks, that could be tested easily and tweaked based on user feedback. What worked well, lessons learnt, and where we would like to go next!

Who?
Community Managers interested in bringing users into the development process to improve their community
Developers interested in using Zimbra Social in a deployment pipeline, feature switching and delivery incremental change.

Why?
To network with other people using the Zimbra Social platform, learn how others are solving problems and eat free pizza!

When and Where?
We'll be meeting at Macmillan Cancer Support, 89 Albert Embankment in Vauxhall, London. We'll start around 6PM with a little time to chat before the talk around 6.30PM, moving on to a local pub afterwards.
