Pre-Meetup for July Kayak Trip to Pictured Rocks For South Group

It is only a few weeks till our Kayak trip to Pictured Rocks and we still didn’t have a pre-meetup yet.
I think it is a good idea if we meet at least once before the trip so everyone can get to know each other and decide how we can carpool up north.
However, there is a dilemma in that most people are either living very south or very north… no one in the middle. Here is what I mean…

Just to make things more convenient for the pre-meetup, I was thinking we have 2 pre-meet… one for the south people in Ann Arbor and the other for the north people in Pontiac/Troy.
The people from misc. locations can join in through skype to either of the meetings.
Since most people finish work at 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, I was thinking of having the pre-meetup at 8p at a 24hour coffee/donut shop with wi-fi connection. The only 24 hours places I know so far are Starbucks and Tim Hortons, so that was my 1st pick so far. If you have any of better venues, I am all for it.
