AAAC Int/Ad Doubles Sand VB League

Update: I'm more than a little disappointed that more people don't consider themselves ready for doubles play. I've played with many of you and I know for a fact that not only are you ready, but doubles is the most fun and purest form of VB you can play. It's so much more fun because you are part of almost every play and it's fantastic exercise. And this is one of your only chances to play, because unless you join another league and pay $90 for a team at the minimum. I'm pushing back the start time to give a few more people the opportunity to rsvp. I really hope to attract at least 16 athletes by then.

If you don't have a team you can find a teammate day of. You can also pay day of. (And remember, the courts are smaller in doubles)

Have you ever wanted try your luck in a 2s league? Many of you are talented and fit enough to play 2s in a league like this. Depending on interest, I can accept either six or nine teams. You can have more than two players on the team total, but only two can play at once. In 2s we’ll be more strict the rules; no carries, no set overs, no setting the serve (you must bump the serve, or something else that’s not a set), and of course the basic rules apply.

Matches will consist of 3 games to 25, with every win counting toward your total number of wins. We’ll have a regular 8 week season, plus playoffs. I’ll have an extra grass net set up for people who want to come early or stay late or just warm up and play more after the league matches are over.
