A kayaking trip down the Huron River. I have a tandem 14 footer and am always up for a river trip.
I zip-lined through the trees in Belize! That same week after reaching the Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve, I hiked about 30 minutes through the Belize Rain Forest and through a couple dry caves until I came to the opening of the first cave through which the underground Siburn Caves Branch River flows. I then journeyed on a tube floating through the caves. At times it was total darkness! What an adventure.
I drove a Harley 1200 Sportster with NO windshield down I-94 at RUSH hour heading out of A2 to Saugatuck with a 50 lb back pack. Unfortunately, at the last minute a friend had to cancel the trip and the saddlebags I was counting on!! Once I got to Jackson, I decided to pull into a rest stop to settle my nerves and regain feeling in my arms from my death grip on the handle bars. To my surprise I soon discovered why the backpack felt so heavy. I was carrying all the weight on my back, and just by loosening two little shoulder straps the entire weight of the bag sat on the seat relieving me of all the weight and giving me reassurance that I could do this trip after all! That was the craziest ride ever!!!!
To meet new friends in the community. I am an educator with summers off and love to rejuvenate myself with nature. Most of my friends have spouses or different work schedules making it hard to find nature lovers to have adventures with during the day. The great outdoors keeps me grounded!
I am an educator that works hard during the school year and plays hard during the summer months! Looking for like minded outdoor loving friends.
A great way to get out and do activities with others with similar interests.
