Watch Redline on DVD thanks to Verizon FiOS

On to the movie...

I've been waiting for Redline to be available with subtitles for ages. I thought some festival would pick it up and show it in New York on the big screen, but it hasn't happened yet or maybe I just missed it (sadness). I'm a big fan of Madhouse (who isn't?) and even more, I'm hyper-fond of Katsuhito Ishii ( Party 7, Taste of Tea, Funky Forest: The First Contact, etc.)... this collaboration is beyond win win.

Anyway, this is a completely hand-drawn animation movie, with no CG technology. With original characters designed by Katsuhito Ishi. It took 7 years to complete with more than 100000 drawings.

Plot: Red Line is about the biggest racing game of the universe and it's only held once every 5 years. And naturally everyone wants to take part. Follow the racings skills of men and women alike.
