You Can Only Be Angry at Yourself

Many of us on the spiritual path deeply believe that we are all of one mind, one heart and one spirit with each other and God, and that our differences and disagreements are only on the outside.  The difficult part is that there is quite a schism between what we believe in this regard and what we’re able to actually practice in everyday life.  Think about how often you are annoyed or angry towards various people throughout the day.  This can vary from minor infractions with strangers to significant anger towards people you have long-time relationships with.  In either case, when we feel these feelings towards others, it keeps us from living our belief that we are all connected.  What we need to give up anger and achieve peace in our lives is a change in perception – what the Course defines as a miracle.  This is an achievable goal when we come to recognize that any anger we project towards others is really only anger we have towards ourselves.  When we’re ready to cease being angry with ourselves, we will cease to be angry with others.

It is not necessary to read the book or have any prior knowledge of A Course in Miracles to participate and appreciate our discussion.  This Course is appropriate for beginners as well as the experienced.  For those who do want to study this topic in the book or online, please refer to the Workbook for Students, Lessons 126 and 127, and in the Text, Chapter 23, section II, The Laws of Chaos.

Please note that although the word "Course" is in the title, you do not have to sign up for a series. Each meeting is an entity unto its own, so please come join us at any time. The cost of each individual class is $15, however if you pay for four classes in advance, it is $12.  The advance dates you pay for do not have to be consecutive dates.
