Helping the Make A Wish Foundation

Make A Wish Foundation is asking for our assistance this Friday under the canopy of the Fremont Street Experience.

Only 3 volunteers are needed, so if you RSVP please be sure that you can be part of the day. Hours are from 10am-2pm. Our mission will be donation patrol for the Make A Wish Foundation. We will have various MAW logo items at the table available for donations to passer-byers. Items like the Make A Wish stars, bracelets and calendars.

So, here's the deal.....SNORE (Southern Nevada Off Road Enthusiasts) has invited the Make A Wish Foundation to set up a table on Tech Day.
What's Tech Day? It's the day before the Mint 400 off road race.
Today the participants rev up and show off their mean machines on Fremont Street. Me, being a Las Vegas native grew up with this yearly off roader, the Mint Hotel is no longer here, but the 400 lives on! It sounds like quite a few of the racers will be hangin' out with friends and family on Friday. The race has been a major part of Las Vegas history since 1968!

There is no parking on Fremont Street,but several of the casinos have garage parking which is free with validation. I plan on arriving around 9:30am to help with the set up. I don't know how long I can stay for, bit I can definitely do a coffee run before I leave. This is something totally new for A.O.K. and I am not quite sure what to expect, so please come with a very positive attitude. I think this is going to be a lot of fun, so start your engines.
