Easter Basket Drive for Homeless & Underprivileged Kids

The E BUNNY "One Special Basket for One Special Child" program delivers baskets to homeless and underprivileged children in the Las Vegas area. The group especially targets organizations that aren’t sponsored by large programs or charities so the baskets go to kids who otherwise wouldn’t get one.

Last year over a thousand baskets were delivered to agencies like Las Vegas City Mission, Las Vegas Housing Authority, Las Vegas Rescue Mission, Clark County Social Services, Safe House, Sunrise Children's Hospital, Nevada Social Services and Straight From the Streets.

A.O.K. has the potential to make an amazing impact on this year’s donations. For our drive, we will meet up at Sunset Park to hang out and if you are able, please bring an Easter basket to be donated to the program. They can be purchased for $7-15 at any drugstore, supermarket, or retail store like Walmart, K-Mart, Big Lots, and Target. No homemade Easter baskets please.

Imagine being a child facing the uncertainty of a situation in which you have no control and there’s never any money for “extras”. A van pulls up in front of your run down complex laundromat and the doors swing open. A stranger smiles and hands you a brightly colored basket filled with little goodies. It truly is the little things that matter and we can make a difference.

**I will be there from 11:00am to 2pm to collect baskets so feel free to drop in anytime or stay and hang out. We'll most likely be delivering the baskets immediately following the event. If you are able to help with delivery, please let me know :)
