All the way to The Henderson Pavilion. This remarkable site is the largest outdoor amphitheatre in Nevada and the first of its kind in the state. The Pavilion is a 2,500-seat (http://www.hendersonlive.com/pavilion/venue-info/seating-chart) state-of-the-art venue for visual and performing arts, with a stage (http://www.hendersonlive.com/docs/Pavilion-Stage-Plot.pdf) that can accommodate solo performances, concerts, full-scale Broadway productions, or any large convention or event.
Please join us as we help The Henderson Department of Cultural Arts and The Las Vegas Shakespeare Company present the beloved classic, "The Wizard of Oz."
The most watched motion picture in history, “The Wizard of Oz,” comes to life on stage as a theatre production. Dorothy, along with Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion, journey along the yellow brick in search of the Wizard of Oz, who they hope, can solve all their problems – Dorothy needs to find her way back home, Scarecrow needs a brain, Tin Man a heart and Lion needs courage.
Acts of Kindness volunteers will assist in duties including:ticket taking, greeters and ushers. To stand out, we ask that you wear black plants and a white shirt. A vest and identifying tag will be provided. Once all the guests are seated, we are welcome to sit and enjoy the show.
As always, please RSVP with integrity because we count on every volunteer who signs up.
