Summerlin Yard Sale to Benefit AFAN

A.O.K. member Tino Arredondo has generously offered up his yard to start the fundraising ball rolling.......

Did you know that in 2012, AOK members helped AFAN raise over $20,000 to help battle the scourge of AIDS? That's right. Many of our members joined forces with the always creative, always fun, always energetic TEAM WINOS to make their 2012 AIDS Walk efforts their most successful to date. We were even given awards for being the most creative team AND the highest grossing team.

Never being ones to rest on our laurels, we have huge plans to make our 2013 team even more successful. We are kicking off our efforts in October. Now, it is time for Yard Sale: Part 1.

You can help make a difference in the lives of so many in our community living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, by simply cleaning out your garage. All proceeds collected from this sale go to AFAN. IT's a win-win!

We need you to scour every nook and cranny for your unwanted treasures. Come on! You know you have some. That lamp that your Great Aunt Fanny gave you may cause you extreme nausea, but it might be just the thing to complete someone's eclectic living room. Don't worry that it might be too early to pitch in. We'll be collecting for the next two months. We are especially looking for those items that might sell well on Craigslist between now and April.

All leftovers from the sale will be donated to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Nevada.
