Hello and welcome!

The Adelaide French language group is all about meeting fellow French-speakers, speaking, practicing and improving French language skills and having fun. We organise a variety of great activities most weeks, often several times per week. There is no charge for being a member or attending any of our meetups per se but obviously some activities cost money anyway. There are a lot of native French speakers in our ever-growing group, plenty of Australians and a sprinkling of other nationalities thrown in.

We also incorporate traditional French customs and activities into our meet-ups, such as "La Gallette des Rois", cheese fondues, chocolate fondues and other yummy French food experiences at Galiane's place which are memorable, educational and fun. Some of our group activities in the past include going to the cinema, coffee shops, BBQ, movie night, ice skating, parties, French board games night, cocktail nights and more.

Don't worry if you don't know too much French, we all help each other out as we are all at different levels.

We can also be found on Facebook - "Adelaide French Language Group". However, all events will be advertised here, not on Facebook.

What members are saying

Great for practising French in an everyday setting. I also found it invaluable listening to the more advanced speakers and picking up words and phrases from them.

It's great to practice your french in a relaxed setting with very friendly people.

“I have taken French lessons on and off for many years and have visited France twice. I always got away with the little I could speak but I yearn to have a better grip on the language in order to speak it the way it should be spoken; beautifully.”
