If anyone needs a very basic beginner friendly rails book, Learn Ruby on Rails by Daniel Kehoe is pretty good. you can get it from http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/909377477/learn-ruby-on-rails

It starts out with very basics, a good foundation book for Hartl's or Agile web development with rails 4 books.

Guys, I was just wondering if there's any car park around this area?

    November 2, 2013

    • Michael N.

If you don't mind a bit of excercise and want free parking there's plenty of parks along Halifax Street/South Terrace which are right next to the City Souht and South Terrace tram stops, then catch the free tram to Pirrie Street stop.

    Hi Osanda,
You're absolutely welcome. Talks start at 6:30, but lots of people arrive from 6:00pm Last month as with most months we have people new to Ruby and Rails. Come early and have a chat with everyone and I'm sure we can come up with some beginner focused talks.

I'm completely new to whole Ruby on Rails development and web development in general. But I would like to come to this meetup even though I have no clue of the topic but I'm quite keen. What do you guys suggest? Should I still attend?
