The Big Santa Sackfight Flashmob!

Almost Christmas, time to plan the most hilarious event of the year and an Adventure Wellington tradition: the Big Santa Sackfight Flashmob!

Imagine you're in Wellington on the 20th of December, busy with last minute Xmas shopping. You spot two Santas arguing about being the "real" Santa as they begin to pound their sacks into each other. Suddenly from everywhere, more and more Santas charge into the battle, all swinging their sacks like Braveheart warriors. It's a flashmob!

Come to the Santa Sackfight Flashmob on the 20th of December, where at a secret location in Wellington you will dress as Santa and appear all at the same moment for a massive Santa Sackfight. Each Santa will bring a feather-filled pillowcase "sack" as their weapon. The more Santas the better!!! Santa suits will be handed out on the day or bring your own Santa outfit. Each Santa will have a basic "role" to play while participating in the flash mob, such as the location they will start from.

The Plan: Flashmob-rapid-sequence-series

The Plan is to choose three of the busiest locations in Wellington and organise a Flashmob-rapid-sequence-series (basically get instructions - get to starting locations - all turn up at the same moment - sack fight!! - retreat quietly and regroup close to the next location). This will give people the feeling that Wellington is overrun by sack-fighting Santas!

What to bring: (lightweight) pillow, Santa Suit and Santa Sack. If you don't have a Santa Suit or sack, reserve your Santa Suit + Sack in the AW webshop for only $15 (25 suits + sacks available, first come, first served) or visit one of the dollar shops around town.

Tip: bring a good belt (experience learns that without a belt your Santa Suit will be around your ankles after a sack fight)
