TEMENOS: The Agile Container

Abstract:

Siraj Sirajuddin will be sharing his findings on Agile Organizational Transformation.  These findings come from an intensive study of about 100 organizations / institutions that he has observed or worked with and about 2000 change agents that he has interviewed using his own techniques called Influence Maps and Mandalas.

The knowledge base that he presents talks about two aspects of Agile Organizational Transformation:

  1. The Temenos or the "agile container" that is changing and transforming. How is the organization transforming and what is happening to the container? How does an Agile Transformation initiative bring the desired values and culture to the forefront of daily work.
  2. The Archetypes or the "agile change agents" who are also personally transforming while the organization is changing. How are they transforming and what is happening to them? How does an Agile Transformation initiative bring the basic human dynamics of responding to change to the forefront of every interaction.

I have participated in a Temenos retreat led by Siraj Sirajuddin. The integrative process was transformative. I look forward to seeing the concept applied in the Agile context.
