Details
We've all learned that writing tests before code is a great way to develop software. It turns out that it's also a great way to learn how to develop software in the first place! In this talk we discuss a number of projects that have used test-first approaches to teach Ruby and JavaScript, including Ruby Koans, RailsBridge Workshops, Michael Hartl's RailsTutorial.org, and our own open-source TFT (test-first teaching) Ruby and JS curriculum (at testfirst.org).
Alex Chaffee is a coder, coach, and cofounder. Co-created Cohuman, Pivotal Tracker, Wrong, Erector, Moodlog, and more. Expert in Ruby, Java, and, reluctantly, JavaScript.
