Who are the Akron Independent Movie Goers?
We are a community of film buffs who like independent films, foreign films, and documentaries.
We are loyal supporters of The Nightlight Cinema, Akron’s own indie theatre.
We prefer the intimacy of the Nightlight to the vastness of the multiplexes, surrounded by people like us, who share a love of indie films.
We are part of a larger community, started in 2006 by the Cleveland Independent Movie Goers.
Join us for films at the Nightlight and after the films for food and conversation.
