Women Working with WordPress (W.W.W.)

July's Topic: Special Presentation by Jamii Corley, "WordPress Workflow"

A group for women who possess at least an intermediate level of WordPress knowledge.

Enhancing involvement of women in the technological community and focusing on strengthening relationships among women in WordPress.

A group for women with a good level of familiarity with WordPress. Colleagues, working together, exchanging ideas. A collaborative informal gathering. We rotate locations between WESST Enterprise Center, Ideas and Coffee Coworking Space, and various mutually-agreed-upon local restaurants.

Coffee, tea, dinner, plus short discussions about WordPress topics ranging from intermediate to advanced skill levels. Sharing successes and challenges.

Thank you Jamii for putting that presentation together. It got me thinking about some things I could do for my site at work.

Next month's meetup will be at WESST. Several excellent topics were suggested, but we don't yet have a speaker. Last night was lots of fun, thanks to all who came. If anyone would like a copy of the handout I gave out, it's at https://members.swcp.com/wiki/Roles_and_Capabilities_in_WordPress

I did not realize that roles and capabilities of different WP users can be modified! From what I learned tonight, I can see how being able to create different groups of users with different abilities comes in really handy for site-management. THANKS, Jamii!
