The Albuquerque WordPress Meetup

Come explore WordPress with us.

The Advanced Designer/Developer topic for the evening is Plugins! (Hot)

Sam Hotchkiss of Hotchkiss Consulting (http://hotchkissconsulting.net/) is coming to talk to us about how to create a plugin. We will be getting your WordPress development muscles in shape! You'll learn about the power of WordPress hooks, how to create new areas in your Post Edit panel, how to use custom fields, and how to put all of these things together to build your very own plugin! We're going to be covering a lot of ground quickly, so come with your mind open, and I'd recommend brushing up on your basic PHP skills ahead of time, and you'll come away with a plugin you can start using with your clients right away.

The User topic will be Beginner CSS. (Mild to Medium)

Max Bloom of Bloom ABQ (http://www.bloomabq.com/) will lead the session on CSS. Come learn where the WordPress CSS is located, how it relates to your pages and how to change it to customize the look of your WordPress.org site.

If you have ideas and suggestions for future topics let us know!
