Have you been to Chinatown to eat before? What are your thoughts of Chinatown? If you've been, which restaurants have you been to and what are your favorite dishes?

I have been to Chinatown, but I am fairly new to this area, and I actually live in the country in upper Bucks County--so I have not explored it as much as I would like.

Is there a particular restaurant that you've been wanting to try in Chinatown but never have? Generally, what are your favorite foods?

As we are looking for the adventurous and those willing to try anything once tell us what is the strangest thing you've ever ate.

I lived in France for many years. There, as in Asia, they eat every part of the animal, and I enjoyed eating pigs' ears and snouts, innards of various sorts, etc. Ducks' tongues in Shanghai restaurants. All sorts of sea creatures and amphibians.

Would you consider yourself a lover of Asian food? If so, what country's cuisine do you love the most and why?

I love all Asian food, but I think that my favorite is Chinese, from every region of China--because it is so incredibly varied in its flavors, textures, and ingredients.

What's the main reason you wish to join this group and what would you like to gain from this group that will make your time worth while?

The main reason would be to taste interesting and/or wonderful food that I might not get a chance to taste otherwise. I would also like to meet new people who share this interest. And I would like to explore the restaurants of Philadelphia.

Introduction

I am Canadian, from Montreal originally, where I grew up eating fantastic ethnic food. I love to travel and I adore Asia and its cuisines--have been to Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
