Have you been to Chinatown to eat before? What are your thoughts of Chinatown? If you've been, which restaurants have you been to and what are your favorite dishes?

Many times; at one point I had visited just about every restaurant, but I'm sure some have closed, and some have opened by now. I like dumplings, especially soup buns and har gow, eggplant stuffed with shrimp w/ black bean sauce, shrimp with lobster sauce, congee to name a few.

Is there a particular restaurant that you've been wanting to try in Chinatown but never have? Generally, what are your favorite foods?

No, not really...just would love a guide to the authentic dishes. I'm very diverse, but I tend to stay away from anything that's spicy.

As we are looking for the adventurous and those willing to try anything once tell us what is the strangest thing you've ever ate.

The jellyfish was unusual; more texture than taste, I guess. I had a frog casserole that was not only legs, but also frog bodies...that was different.

Would you consider yourself a lover of Asian food? If so, what country's cuisine do you love the most and why?

I tend toward Chines and Japanese, and tend toward less spicy options.

What's the main reason you wish to join this group and what would you like to gain from this group that will make your time worth while?

I'd like to have a guide to the more traditional Asian dishes; it's hard to navigate a menu that has so many unusual options, and variations.

I love to cook, love to eat, and do both well. I really enjoying trying dishes that are traditional and local, as opposed to the "american" menu that most restaurants have. It'd be great to have a guide!
