Let's enjoy SoCal!

This group is about doing things I love (hiking, kayaking, camping, art, theater, music, yoga, dining, socializing, making new friends, etc.), living life, having fun and finding a group of people that want to enjoy those things too.

I figure if people join this group because they like the events that are planned, then we will probably all like each other too! That's my hope anyway!

This group is based in Long Beach but will have events throughout the Southland (with a majority being in or close to Long Beach).

I will probably plan 1-2 events per month. My hope is that we meet each other through meetup.com but then grow our friendships outside of the meetup group, that we become real friends, not just meetup friends. So please people, when you meet someone in the group you "click" with, for heaven's sake, exchange phone numbers and/or email addresses! Meetup is great, but it's not the same as being able to call up a friend at the last minute when you want to go to happy hour or go see a movie.
