Aloha Strum with Pat Enos

Aloha Strum is a kanikapila (a Hawaiian word that means to make music) - but our free, weekly event is much more than that.

Aloha Strum is not only playing and singing - it also features free ukulele lessons and playing tips.  Every week, you’ll learn something new.

Whether you’re a beginner, an expert, or somewhere in-between you’re going to love playing and singing along with Pat on Wednesday nights.

Pat is one of the most beloved entertainers, ukulele teachers, and ukulele group leaders in the U.S.. He’s well-known for his talent, his affable, easy-going manner, and his ability to make advancing on the ukulele fast and fun.

We meet at the Dana Point Yacht Club.  It's is a spectacular setting for our weekly island get-together (yes, we really do meet on an actual island).  The yacht club’s spacious banquet room has wrap-around windows so you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking views of Dana Point Harbor.  Tables are arranged for your comfort and to afford great visibility.  Songs are projected onto a large screen for fun and highly social head’s-up playing.  And there’s plenty of room for you to spread-out your ukuleles, cases, and all that other stuff we like to drag along with us.

Hungry or thirsty?  Chef Jonny, of the Dana Point Yacht Club, plans and prepares a wonderful, Aloha Strum Island Buffet each week.  Two or three gourmet entrees - meat, fish, pasta - they change every week,. It always includes vegetables, salad, dessert and all of the fixings, and it’s always delicious.  We try to publish the menu a few days days before each Wednesday's kaninkapila.  There’s also a full bar plus coffee, soft drinks, and water.

It’s fun - it’s free - and it takes place in a great location. There’s plenty of safe, close-in, free parking in the Dana Point Yacht Club lot.

Friends and family are always welcome - and that includes even the non-ukulele playing types. Bring them along. They’ll enjoy the music and the hula - and we might even manage to have them playing the ukulele by the time they leave.
