Our Study Group is now a Homeopathy Discussion Group. The main objectives are to deepen our understanding of homeopathy and to learn to think homeopathically. This knowledge can help us to more effectively provide information to our homeopaths, deal with the conventional medical community and make good decisions for our family and friends, and for a wide variety life situations. A major focus will be homeopathic philosophy.

We will continue to meet on two Wednesdays a month.. The Internet Yahoo Group will continue so that we can share information on anything homeopathic.

Organon. We have decided to start with the founder and read the Organon. 2010 was the 200th anniversary of the publication of the first edition. It is amazing how each reading of the Organon reveals new information. The Wenda Brewster O'Reilly edited version is preferred, but you can also read the Dungoen, Boericke and Kunzli versions. (Kunzli does not have the Introduction.) It is well worth having at least one version. However, the Organon can be found online, including the Introduction, at

We will be happy to provide basic information about the Organon to anyone new to the group. It is okay to start mid-way with us.

Also, since we have taken the summer off, let us take the opportunity to talk about what we want to discuss in the coming months. All ideas are welcome., including taking a break from the Organon and reading other books.

First Meeting Details – Sept. 26
We will read Chapter V, Homeopathic Treatment of Diseases, Aphorisms 146-151 on the Power of Homeopathic Medicines to Cure Diseases and Distinguishing between Minor Indispositions and More Serious Diseases.

Also please read the article entitled Organon of Medicine History & Development by Manish Bhatia in Hpathy Ezine, September, 2009 which can be found online at If you cannot access the article, email Carol at or call 703-998-0543 to receive a copy.

Second Meeting Details - October 3.
We will continue with reading the Organon, Aphorisms 152-156, some of the most important paragraphs in the Organon in the section entitled Strange, Rare and Peculiar Symptoms. Read an interesting article entitled Individualization by Manish Bhatia in Hpathy Ezine, September, 2009 which is found online at
