Shamanism? Many of us are rediscovering our openness to the possibilities of realities other than our own. There is certainly immense variety inherent in the Universe. We are beginning to gain an understanding that we are tuning our vibration to the reality we intend or want to see. This workshop is an introduction to different realities. Although this reality may be different from that which we commonly experience, many of the aspects were common for nearly all the aboriginal tribes of the earth not so long ago. It is interesting to note that the tools and practices of shamanism are common the world over by members of very different cultures, tribes, cut off by oceans and seas. Karen Hefner offers us a glimpse of another world, to experience energies not often experienced, as we learn about non-ordinary reality and the Shaman?s relationship to it.

The Drum is an essential instrument of the Shaman and has been used universally in shamanic cultures worldwide. Karen will share the gifts of this tool and we will have opportunity to do some drumming during this class. Bring your drum. There will be many drums for you to use at the class if you don?t have one.

Karen Hefner, MA, MS, After studying, experiencing, and practicing alternative modes of healing and shamanism for the past decade, Karen has dedicated herself full-time to being in service as a catalyst for personal growth, expansion and healing. She is a graduate of the LightSong School of Shamanic Studies, a Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master, holds Master?s degrees in Science and the Arts, and is a certified F.I.R.E instructor. Karen has a strong teaching background that dates back to the mid 1980s. She is also a minister, cancer survivor, mother, and grandmother.

Deeply invested in the areas of healing and personal growth, Karen gently guides people toward their own innate health and happiness through education, ceremony, soul retrieval, extraction work, and Reiki. Karen?s intention is to assist clients and students in finding their soul?s path, their true self, their source of power and freedom. She offers this with deep gratitude to her teachers, spirit guides, and the native healers and communities who have been so generous with their teaching, healing, and ceremonies.

Class Fee: $10.00
