The primary purpose of the proposed Meetup group is to help avoid extinction of the human species – working within a scientifically valid premise.

The ways natural languages work make humans very easy to fool in ways typically hidden to intellectualization. Science is partially immune to such fooling by using external (non-natural language) tools like mathematics, measurement, “factors”, correlations, etc.

There is a “disconnect” between science/math communication on the one hand and natural language communication and thought on the other. Many people have a relatively high “Sci-Q” while having an easily-fooled “Thought-Q”.

This disconnect is measurable in that generations of science and technology improvements -- using mainly math -- build on themselves exponentially; but “scientific” information about people, “thought”, war, terror, etc. -- using mainly natural language -- supports little if any generational improvement.

The hurdles to learning are high -- at least for adults -- in that the main ways we all are fooled are not known publicly -- and even private knowledge may be subversive to the world's power structures. Antidote training to counter the ways all humans are fooled is essential for species survival. And such antidote training may require its own privacy barriers, at least temporarily.
