Subject: [Japanese-Language-Practice-on-Facebook] (10/2/12 - 10/7/12) 日本語のクラブ This week's topic to post on the Facebook page + recap!

This week's Facebook topic is: Your occupation. Tell us a little bit about it in Japanese!
If you have a job, let us know the name of your occupation and a little bit about what you do. If you have a company website, feel free to link it!
If you don't currently have a is your time to network and take a chance! 70% of all jobs in the United States are obtained through networking, according to the United States Bureau of Labor. In fact, I hired my 2nd assistant because I made friends with one of the clerks at Animé Castle and he mentioned that he has a good friend that has a degree in Accounting! So let us know on our Facebook page what you WANT to do and why you are qualified. You never know. And if you do not work and do not plan to work full-time, let us know how you keep busy and happy  :)
We had 2 Events this past weekend! Linda hosted an excellent restaurant Event on Saturday night. We spoke Japanese for hours on end and the food was a ton of fun! I had Black Sesame ice cream! And Emily hosted an adventure to New Jersey on Sunday to go to the Hokkaido (北海道) Food Festival. And it was an adventure, starting with with our party of 3 entering Port Authority Dungeon to find the Mitsuwa Bus at Gate 51 in the lowest basement  :p  But once we arrived at the Festival, we experienced awesome food that we never would have gotten to experience otherwise. It was like we were transported to Hokkaido via magic carpet! Isabelle joined us later and we went Japanese food shopping at Mitsuwa. Isabelle was even nice enough to give us a ride back to Manhattan, which was greatly appreciated. Then David Li (who is now officially our Super Group Member!) joined the group for karaoke. I really do have the best Event Organizers ever!
We have 4 upcoming Events (1 in October,  2 in November and 1 in December). If you want to get in a ton of Japanese conversation practice, come to the Anniversary Event! Please RSVP for these upcoming Events as soon as you can!
Louis'  Japanese Language 24/7 Anniversary Event! on Friday, October 19th:
Nathaniel's  Shabu-Shabu and Japanese Conversation on Saturday, November 3rd:
Linda's  Day Trip to JAPAN in NYC on Sunday, November 11th:
Lauren's  All-Japanese Karaoke on Sunday, December 1st:
I thank Linda, Jimmy, Edward and Chris for their Facebook posts. Your contributions continue to make our Japanese ability stronger. I was wondering why I am suddenly able to read through an entire issue of Ciao  :)
See you on Facebook!
Japanese Language 24/7 Policy: Inactive (non-participating) members will be gently deleted from our roster on a weekly basis. The definition of "inactive" is a member who does not post on Facebook OR attends any Group Events for 30 consecutive days. To be considered "Active" and to avoid being gently deleted, come to at least 1 Meetup Event a month OR post at least 1 Facebook post a month. Thank you. And I am always available for any questions or help in regard to Japanese language. If you want or need help, please ask. We are all here to learn WITHOUT judgment or trolling. The only bad Japanese that will get you booted from this group is NO Japanese (or being a no-show at an Event.)

Please Note: If you hit "REPLY", your message will be sent to everyone on this mailing list ([address removed])
