Implement a Kegbot

New Work City has a kegerator.  I've ordered the parts to build a Kegbot.

http://kegbot.org/

We're going to have a little hack session to implement it.  This will depend heavily on when the parts actually get here.  Shipping internationally.  The date is highly variable.

I'm making a manual wait list.  Ideally I'd like to restrict this to people who will actually be working on this.  We need Android, Arduino, linux server config, and python experience.  If you have none of this, but can make a good pitch as to why you should be there anyway, feel free.  This is the first time I've tried doing a restricted attendance, so bear with me if it doesn't work right.  Just sign up for the wait list and fill out the questions.

So, some bad news. I was under the impression that this project was just assmebling stuff. It looks like we actually need to solder quite a bit, not to mention purchase the stuff that needs soldering. Not a huge deal, but we'd need to get on that asap. Still investigating. We WILL be having drinks regardless, and possibly making sense of what we'd need to purchase for next time. If we get really serious, there can be a Radio Shack run to get the "stuff".

That's awesome, although its felt like beer week for the last several months.

We have MOST parts. No stopper valve, but there is a flow meter, and the docs say its best to start with just that anyway. We have arduinos on loan, as I apparently didn't order that. However, this should get us through the build, and I will order a permanent one. Also, since space is limited, I tried to pull a set of people from the group who had somewhat relevant skills. It was a quick scan through, though. If you really want to come and didn't make the "cut", hit me up, or just send me nudge when the next one comes up. Since we only got hardware for one line, and no stopper valve, there will be at least one more hack day, if not two.

Hello everybody. Will post something later. I've been waiting on parts, and I think they're mostly here now. Its short notice to do tomorrow, but if people are available, I could do it. Will go through the "applications" and approve. Also, just FYI, we only got hardware for one line. If this works, we'll be doing this again for the other, so there will be a second chance to mess around with it ;)

I just heard of this. I have some basic electronics skills and can program in python. I'd love to join.

Hey everybody! Forgot this was tomorrow. Date was sort of soft to begin with. Still waiting on parts delivery, so this is getting pushed out. Also, I haven't reviewed the recent entries, and it looks like there are a few. Will get back to you all with updates as I have them...
