Our last summer meetup will be back at our generous sponsors, The American Express Company. We'll have talks from Donn Felker and Israel Camacho. Join us to give Israel a big warm Android welcome to NYC!

>> Realm – A New, Easy to Use Mobile Database & Object Framework, by Donn Felker, @donnfelker (https://twitter.com/donnfelker)

So you need to store data in your mobile application? Great, now you need to work with SQLite. If you’re like me, you wish there was another solution. One that allowed you to work with objects and store them as such with a powerful query system. No transformations back and forth to a relational store. Well, you’re in luck, one does exist: Realm. Realm is a mobile object database that can do all of these things and more. In this session learn how you can use the power of Realm to store and retrieve native Java objects with ease.

>> Smoke and Mirrors in Android, by Israel Camacho, @rallat (https://twitter.com/rallat)
A compendium of techniques that will make your app feel faster and look better.

A big thanks to David & Anat for coordinating, and AMEX for sponsoring the meetup and making this event possible.
