From Whitmore Lake. Love the community aspect...sharing tips, tricks, help, and project ideas, plus interesting conversation. There's always an expert around to teach me something new or get me out of a jam.
I almost always bring a camera to catch the moment, and to photograph all of us, so I can remember names and new faces.
Since late August, 2006, when it rained for 2 days on Mackinac Island.
There's so much talent and knowledge and caring people in any one group--bumps all negativity right out of my life. Kind friends who patiently teach and advise...what's not to like? Thanks to all of you.
I hope to see Judy by the end of this month for a birthday lunch for one of my many friends I have that still work at Thetford. Yes it is a small world.I do enjoy my tue eve meeting new friends. I love to see all the projects everyone is working on. O and glad you like my pic ,I just love the old movies!!
I've worked on a method and made 3 @ realtively "true" drop spindles -
1 @ 3/8 Walnut shaft and Osage Orange whorl;
1 @ 3/8 Walnut shaft and Honey locust whorl; and
finally 1 @ 3/8 cherry shaft and walnut whorl
With a metal pin in the base should they get dropped to hit the ground, they ought to be durable - I just need to take pictures
No honestly, I do not knit (...well) but I make wooden stuff for knitters who do knit well; and I hope to learn a bit more about what knitters might want or struggle with. I guess I will bring a specialized bowls for knitters, as well as nostepinnen, and perhaps if I can make some before tomorrow, some wooden knitting needles. When can you next make it yourself?
Linda, Thanks for getting in touch with me. I can't go either (I'm ill), so no harm done. Too bad, I was looking forward to it.
