We are proud to announce the Mini-Hackathon: Apache Celix (incubating) (http://incubator.apache.org/celix/) in Hengelo on Sunday, June 30th, starting at 09:00.

This Mini-Hackathon is hosted by Thales at their office at Hengelo. More details about how to get there can be found below. The location can host up to 16 people, so make sure you sign up to ensure your spot.

The main focus for this Mini-Hackathon will be Remote Services for Apache Celix (incubating) (http://incubator.apache.org/celix/), Amdatu (http://www.amdatu.org) Remote Services (https://bitbucket.org/amdatu/amdatu-remoteservices) and interoperability between those two.

If you are already an OSGi developer or you are interested to learn about OSGi and be part of an ongoing effort to make OSGi an adopted development model across different languages and technologies then please feel welcome to attend this Mini-Hackathon. Food & drinks will be arranged by Thales, you only have to bring your own device.

To speed up the progress it would be nice if you come prepared. It is not a MUST but general (better hands-on) knowledge of OSGi (http://www.osgi.org/Technology/HowOSGi), Remote Service specification (http://www.osgi.org/Download/File?url=/download/r4v42/r4.enterprise.pdf), Remote Service Admin specification (http://www.osgi.org/Download/File?url=/download/r4v42/r4.enterprise.pdf), C and/or Java and - for C - an understanding of how abstract datatypes can be used in C this reference (http://www.cs.princeton.edu/courses/archive/spr96/cs217/precepts/adt-precept/) is helpful indeed.

The event is held at the staff association building (located B) of Thales. Because the main entrance (A) is closed (Sunday), the best way to reach the staff association building is by using the car navigation and navigate to Robijnstraat at Hengelo. The staff association building is located directly behind the first gate at the parking lot. When traveling with public transport you can walk from the main entrance to B.
