Paint or draw outside with friends! Bring an easel or your sketch book. Share the enjoyment! Be out in all seasons. And go home with a work of art to hang on your wall or enter in a show.

Meet people who love art and love to paint/draw outdoors in Virginia, D.C., and Maryland. Let's get together to paint! We can talk about our favorite places and share info about Plein Air events in surrounding areas.

Oil, acrylic or water color, it's all good. Pencil, charcoal, pen and ink. We can do it all!

En Plein Air means "in the open air" (French), and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors (compliments wikipedia). Also from Wikipedia: "French Impressionist painters such as Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir advocated en plein air painting, and much of their work was done outdoors."
