What the hell is going on with Art Blogs?

Welcome to new members and hello to existing members,

I should get my hand slapped for not going to Red Dot Art Fair. They had a series of lectures last weekend. I am very interested in the collision of journalist and citizen journalist (bloggers). I did a little bit of research and I found 60 art blog sites that is based in New York City. I do very much enjoy reading blogs, because the content is a quick reaction to a subject. It's worth something. What exactly, I don't know, but the fact that someone, took a photo of it, uploaded it, and wrote about it, does count for something. Whether or not it is a grain of salt or it is priceless, requires us to make a value judgment on the validity, integrity of the blogger. Do you think it's worth having a discussion about this as a group?

To give you more insight on this, I found this youtube feed on the Bloggers Convention II on Art Review. This online publication is a great source for what's being covered in the contemporary art world. Wish I can embed the feed in this mail, but I'm afraid meetup is not quite there yet with their updates and features. Here's the link: http://www.artreview.com/video/video/show?id=1474022%3AVideo%3A147191

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend,

P.S. If you have not been active since January of this year, please escort yourself out. Active defined as, not visiting ArtForward meetup page, not communicating with any of members, not rsvping for events, and/or not showing up to events.
