AT Hike: Tanyard Gap to Hurricane Gap (and back) with Rich Mountain Fire Tower

Disclaimer: I have not done all of this hike and my distance is a guesstimate. This will be about a 7 mile hike with 1300 foot elevation gain. We will begin at Tanyard Gap just outside of Hot Springs and hike to Hurricane Gap on the Tennessee border. On the return trip, we will make a detour to the summit of Rich Mountain where a fire tower provide excellent views. I keep a moderate pace with time to dawdle and picture take. Estimated time of arrival back at meetup spot is sometime in the afternoon.
Please be prompt for the meet-up. We will assemble car pools and leave within 15 minutes of time.What to Bring:
Wear sturdy, comfortable hiking shoes

Lunch/snack
Money to help drivers with gas
