linville gorge 16 difficult miles

lake james to table rock...an out an back hike. this hike has outstanding views but is also STEEP and rocky terrain and we will hike at a fast pace. If i don't know you I may email you to make sure you have read this post and are aware of your hiking abilities. BRING FIDO!! this is a dog friendly hike but have a leash handy for areas around the cliff faces. bring plenty of food and water!!! It will likely require more water than you think. I usually run out myself.

16 miles with around 4500 feet gain as i recall...

830 am earth fare, be sure and chip in for gas..it is 1.5 hr drive to trailhead.

we will probably stop in black mountain on the way back for some well deserved pizza and beer. Allen will be giving foot massages.
