Let's head down to the upstate for some spectacular views from the top of Table Rock. This is a nice trail in Table Rock State Park. The beginning 1/4 to 1/2 mile is developed with tourists in mind but has some nice small waterfalls and cascades. Once it reverts to a more natural trail, it is a fairly steady climb with an elevation gain of 2450 feet. The trail is well developed but there is some rock scrabbling at one point. The summit offers several viewpoints and is where we will break for lunch. This is an out and back hike. The pace will be casual with time for photo opportunities and dawdling. Please be prompt for meet-up. We will meet & greet, arrange car pools and leave Ingles by 15 minutes after meet-up time. My estimated return time is sometime in the afternoon.
The park charges $2 per person entry fee.
Dogs are welcome. Must be on leash.
Be sure to bring water and snack/lunch, camera, money for admission and to help drivers.
Wear comfortable, sturdy hiking footwear and layer clothing. It is likely to be breezy and cooler at top.
