Make sure if you are carpooling, that you bring $$cash$$ for the driver!!

Let's do a challenging hike in the Shining Rock Wilderness. We will start at the Big East Fork trailhead off 276 and take the Shining Creek trail to Shining Rock Gap then take the Art Loeb to the Grassy Cove trail to the Big East Fork trail back to the trailhead at 276

We will keep a good pace so please be sure of your hiking ablities. If you have not recently hiked 10 or more miles you should not consider going on this hike.

Directions to trail head: Take the Blue Ridge Parkway south from Asheville past Mt. Pisgah to Wagon Road Gap and take 276 (west) to the Big East Fork trailhead (about 2 miles on the left).

This is a dog friendly hike, as long as your dog is friendly!!
