THIS HIKE WILL GO AS PLANNED. KAREN WILL BE HIKE LEADER AND IS FAMALIAR WITH THE TRAILS AT JONES GAP. SHOULD BE A GREAT HIKE.
ALSO MEET UP TIMES MOVED BACK TO 10:00 AVL and 10:30 HENDERSONVILLE - CRACKER BARRELL.
We will do Rainbow Falls, Jones Gap Falls and short trip to Falls Creek Falls which is short but difficult hike to spectacular falls.
Bring layered clothing, snacks and water, walking sticks, flexible attitudes and motivation. I cannot give a specific time of return but can tell you this is an awesome hike as I have done it twice and the park is beautiful!
NO DOGS THIS HIKE - very limited parking at Falls Creek Falls so want to take as few cars as possible.
Rainbow Falls in upstate South Carolina is a gorgeous 80-100' free falling waterfall on Cox Camp Creek.
We will go I 26 to Hy 25 and take 4th rd on right to park. There is a park sign marking turn off. Initially park at Jones Gap State Park, then drive to Falls Creek Falls Trailhead.
Hike limited to 12 people because of limited parking.
SECOND MEETUP SITE IS CRACKER BARRELL at I 26 and Upward Rd exit (2nd Hendersonville exit heading east on I 26) at 10:30.
