Let's meet at the INGLES on Long Shoals. Do introductions and then arrange the car pooling. We want to leave INGLES by 9:15 and should arrive at the trailhead somewhere around 10am. Let me know if you plan on meeting us at the trailhead, in your RSVP or comment. There is limited parking so please car pool and note where you will be meeting. Thanks Also the time change is today.

Bring a snack/lunch, we will stop at the waterfalls.
There are 2-4 waterfalls on this trail.

How to Get There: From Asheville, take I-240 west to I-26 east to the exit for the Asheville Airport (exit 9). Turn right onto NC 280; follow this 4-lane highway toward Brevard for 16 miles. At the intersection with US highways 276 and 64, turn right onto US 276 west (follow signs for Pisgah National Forest). Follow this road for 5.2 miles; turn left onto FR 475 (signs for the fish hatchery will be seen). The fish hatchery is 1.4 miles past the turn, then FR 475 turns to gravel. The parking area is 1.5 miles beyond where the road turns gravel, on the right.
Please be sure to have proper shoes, poles, clothing, food and water. You are responsible for your own safety and please be sure of your ability to complete this hike. The weather looks to be COLD so be prepared and dress in layers. This trail is rocks, roots and considered difficult going up. With the falling leaves it will also be slippery.
