Pierre,

I took the same face tests you did and my score was identical to yours on the "Are they the same face" test, but I scored better than seven out of ten people on the computer-generated faces test. Why the difference? Any theories or ideas?

Interesting tests. I enjoy taking that type of self-discovery test. Hope all is well with you in the mountains.

How many of you are faceblind? Could you be faceblind and not know it?

I took a test on testmybrain.org (followed a link from faceblind.org) and got
these results:

Are they the same face - In this test, you had to look at a series of pairs of
faces presented together briefly and decide if they were the same individual
Your score was 78. The average score is 82.09:
You scored higher than one out of every ten people who took this test:
Cambridge Face Memory Test: Computer Generated - This was a test of your
ability to learn and recognize images of computer-generated faces.
Your score was 47. The average score is 52.49:
You scored higher than two out of every ten people who took this test:

Faceblindness is correlated with autism. It's pretty difficult to have acquired
prosopagnosia and not know it, but one who has developmental prosopagnosia has
never known normal face recognition and may appear almost normal at
recognizing people. Even Oliver Sacks didn't figure out that he has it until
after he wrote several books on neurological case histories.
