The Reason Rally, on March 24 at the National Mall in Washington, DC was organized by a coalition of all of the major Atheist organizations in the country. It attracted an estimated 20,000 freethinkers, nonbelievers, Atheists, Humanists, agnostics and skeptics nationwide.

If you were there, what did the Reason Rally experience mean to you? Would you do it again?  How important was it to America?   Would you do it differently next time?

What did we achieve?  Is the world a different place?  How did it affect you? Bring your personal stories, reactions and feelings!

If you didn’t go, would you go next time?  How important do you think this Atheist gathering was in advancing the Atheist movement in this country? Would you suggest an alternative?   Did you decide not to go because you didn’t believe it was going to succeed?  N

Come on Tuesday to talk about this important event in the history of the Atheist movement and tell us what you think. Join your friendly fellow nonbelievers for a relaxed, informal evening of straight talk among people who value your opinions, led by Michael Dorian, a documentary filmmaker, who is now working on a film about our suit to remove the so-called “Miracle Cross” from the 9/11 museum.

I enjoyed it for the most part. A little too much glass clanging and admonishing for my taste. People were excited about the rally. Will be more vocal at future meetups.

This was one of my all-time favorite meetups! Nearly everybody taking part in the discussion had been at the Reason Rally and it was fascinating to hear their upbeat reports. Michael Dorian, fresh from filming the Rally, was his wonderfully upfront, cocky self. I had a real sense of togetherness and community with this crowd.

Nice to talk about the reason rally and begin to plan beyond that to make us more politically active. So many of us who attended last night where there. Very refreshing to see so many hands go up. Also, great to have Michael back and to see both many of the "usual suspects" (myself included) and also many new and younger faces at the meeting. We can and should continue to build this community!

Feedback from the Reason Rally and Rock Beyond Belief and forward planning made this a very lively optimistic meeting

I wish I could have gone but I had a convention to work at that weekend. I'm glad it was such a success and that the Rock Beyond Belief concert that next weekend was also a success. It makes "coming out" much easier for everyone when we all speak up openly and honestly.

I also had a great time at the Rally. It was great seeing not only NYC Atheists but so many other "reasonable" people of all types from all over the country. I also had a great time at the convention. It was the first convention I've been too and plan to go to the next one in Austin Texas.

I stood in the rain at the Reason Rally having no idea that the AA convention was the next day in Bathsheba! I feel like such a fool for missing that! I wanted to meet Rich Lyons in person :(

I can't remember the last time I had so much fun. Being with NYCA and the greater secular community was wonderful and defining. The RR was excellent as was the AA convention the next day.

I recognize from this sign-up list some of the people who were so visible at the Reason Rally and the convention afterward, including Tiffany, Willie Fuchs, David Orenstein, Lianna. Hey guys, wasn't that a time!
