I am OK with all the mentioned locations, though I do have a slight preference for locations which are not downtown.

opal divine's on south congress at penn field has a gigantic patio with shaded areas and water-misters.  i think it could easily accomodate a large, unorchestrated group of patrons.  i don't think the w. 6th street location can be as accomodating.

The Opal Divine's on W 6th has a room upstairs (immediate right after stairs) that is usually vacant and can accommodate between 25 and 35 people comfortably.  Parking is of course another matter at the central location, although prior to 8pm it's not that hard to find spots north of 6th along Rio Grande, West, etc.

the dog and duck pub on 17th and guadalupe.  able to accomodate large, unorchestrated groups, but no liquor, lots of beer, and highly questionable wine selection.  the menu is pretty standard pub fare. and they have parking. no dogs, most kids.

Dog & Duck is actually quite dog friendly.  The back yard / beer garden makes a fine meeting space for groups up to 60.  It's become the mainstay venue of one of my meetups.
