Local Dev Environments for WordPress Sites

For our May 2015 workshop, we will cover Local Development Environments for WordPress sites for both Mac and PC on Wednesday, May 27th.

Workshop proper will not begin until 7pm but please come in earlier and get set up so that you are ready to go!

Local development is an essential must for developers. It allows you to build, test, and debug your site locally on your computer before being pushed to a live site. Ever heard and/or experienced the infamous White Screen of Death (WSoD)? DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN TO YOU. Develop locally and prevent breaking your live site.

The workshop will cover the essential programs required for local dev setup for both Mac and PC. We'll spend the first part installing our local dev environments. Afterwards, we'll fire up our local servers and build locally.
