Luncheon Thursday, Coding Groups/IRC, Shorter Meetings

Sam S.
Ok ... three things.

1. Everyone is invited to a Ruby in the City (Midtown Luncheon) (Rays on 5th St, noon Thursday). It's the first of a possible series of low-planning events based around smaller groups getting together to discuss Ruby and related topics.

2. There was lots of interest in beginner groups, awesome! Get more info from the link below if you are interested.

Also, if you are a beginner having trouble with something in Ruby, our irc channel (#atlrug on irc.freenode.net) has a pretty good track record. It's like #rubyonrails except there is generally zero to one conversation going on at a time as opposed to seven.

3. Our monthly meetings have been going kind of long. So lets make them shorter! I think the first thing to try is putting time limits on presentations but we certainly have time to make a different plan. Send me suggestions if you got them. Next Meeting is August 7th.

That's all, have a great always.
