Never Settle. Designing the World’s Coolest Intranet.
Intranets can really suck. Both to build and to use. They’re stuck in the past, too plain and too utilitarian. But thinking about what employees really need (hint: you should probably talk to a lot of them), and then carefully building a social artifact and social actions, and finally, designing it to be used on the devices that matter most to the users will help you delight workers. We just did it for a local company. And we did it on WordPress. I’ll talk through THINK’s interdisciplinary (and transdisciplinary) teams, give away insights we gleaned while designing and building it, and show some of the tools we used to stay on the same page. We’ll help you turn the flywheel that becomes a virtuous cycle of usage, whether for intranets or for web applications of another kind.
