Interested in open source operating systems? Are you a long-time Sun user, Linux enthusiast, a software developer, or new to the whole field? Then, the Atlanta OpenSolaris User Group is for you.
Established since 2005, this group is made up of people interested in the OpenSolaris and Solaris operating systems. Some of us are developers; many of us are system administrators. Some do it professionally. Some are just interested in the operating system and in Solaris.
We meet monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the offices of Sun Microsystems in Alpharetta, GA. More details, maps, directions, and a calendar can be found at http://opensolaris.org/os/project/atl-osug
, our main page.
At each meeting, we look at some sort of technical topic related to OpenSolaris and the technologies around it. That might mean new features, development techniques, operational & deployment discussions, or anything else like that. From time to time, when new releases of OpenSolaris come out, we have an InstallFest to get folks laptops up to current. We always have time for networking and a lot of good discussion. And there is always food.
Contact Scott Dickson (scott.dickson@sun.com) with questions. We're looking forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
