Details

For our first event of 2016, we're trying something a little different. Instead of having a single presenter, we're opening up the floor for any group member to share something related to game development.

Open Mic Night Basics
Each talk can last anywhere from 5-15 minutes. Presenters will share insights, get feedback, and find collaborators. Those not presenting will have many opportunities to offer feedback, learn useful tips & tricks, discover great collaboration opportunities, discuss other developers' issues, and learn about big trends in the indie & mobile game markets.

Schedule For Event
We have several developers who plan to show off their games. To help ensure that attendees get some hands-on time with the games, we'll follow this schedule for the night:

• 6:30pm - Arrival and socializing
• 7:00pm - Intro and announcements
• 7:10pm - Attendees circulate + playtest the games
• 7:40pm - Short presentations + audience Q&A
• 8:45pm - More socializing

Presenters and Games
There are 6 developers who plan to share their work. It's very brave of them to show unfinished projects, so let's be sure and offer constructive feedback! The presenters include:

• Daniel Mester (Super Mighty Bastard)
• Martin Tatar (Climb The Wall)
• Yash Parghi (K Station)
• Alvaro Montoro (TBA)
• Cat Musgrove (Color Thief)
• Kenny Bier (Revolver)

More Details
Also, please note that this event will be in Capital Factory's kitchen/lounge area, rather than our usual space. (There was a conflicting event, but the lounge is actually a great fit for the Open Mic Night.) Don't miss an exciting evening with fast-paced presentations and lots of freewheeling discussion!
