We'll ring in the new year with a new venue (a bigger, better space at Rackspace) and a new schedule: monthly tech nights, in addition to monthly happy hours.
This month, we'll be going hands-on with CartoDB. We'll kick off the night with a general introduction CartoDB - if you don't have an account already, you'll have time to make one here. After that, atx-osg member Sara D. will give us a quick talk highlighting her own experiences using CartoDB to make maps. And we'll spend the rest of the evening working on our own maps!
Demo data will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have a specific mapping project you'd like to work on.
No programming experience necessary -- we'll primarily use the CartoDB editor, but briefly touch on available APIs as well.
...and since we're moving to a much bigger space at Rackspace, there's no RSVP limit -- bring friends!
