For our fourth meetup, let's take a closer look at what the City of Austin is doing to improve the pedestrian and cycling experience in Austin.

Special thanks to Metropia (http://www.metropia.com/) for generously helping us provide light food and drinks for attendees!

For the first part of this meetup, we will continue the tradition of dedicating time to companies focused on providing fun and exciting transportation solutions to the local Austin community.

This month, we have invited East Side Compost Pedallers (https://compostpedallers.com/). East Side Compost Pedallers is a 100% bike-powered compost recycling program in Austin, TX that collects compostables from homes and businesses and pedals them directly to nearby urban farms and community gardens to grow more local food.

During the second part of our meetup, we are very excited to be joined by representatives of the City of Austin's Bike Program and Planning Department to discuss initiatives that they have been working on to encourage more walking and cycling in Austin.

Nathan Wilkes from the City of Austin's Bike Program (https://www.facebook.com/CityOfAustinBicycleProgram) will give a presentation on the City of Austin's Bike Plan and other projects aimed at improving cycling infrastructure.

Robert Anderson from the City of Austin's Planning Department (http://www.austintexas.gov/department/planning) will be discussing ways to improve walkability in Austin through infrastructure and advocacy.

After these presentations, attendees will break out into issue-focused groups to brainstorm and share their own ideas on ways to improve walkability and cycling in Austin.
