JVM Meetup Reboot - Elastic Search

Hi All,

After prodding and some organisation by Richard Vowles we're starting to run JVM language meetups again. Irina Benediktovich will be presenting on Elasticsearch, plus 3 lightning talks. Format for the evening will be

6:00 Meet at venue for socializing, food & drink

6:30 Intro

6:40 Main Presentation on Elasticsearch




7:45 Lightning Talks

    Thorough and detailed presentation from Irina - well done! Great questions and answers afterwards as well. Food was great from Finzsoft (who are hiring we heard), location was great from Movio! Impressed with the turnout!

    David's Spring Boot talk was professionally done and elicited spirited response. Jason's stimulated lots of valuable and interesting discussion, and I am always glad that Mark gives me more reasons for loving Groovy :-) Thanks all for your talks!

    Have you asked Andrew Ensor from AUT? It used to be staged there in the past, and AUT is also hosting the Python UG meetups for AKL.
