"Amazing Grace" at the Libertarian Movie Night Thursday, April 8th, 7PM at Brave New Books, 1904 Guadalupe in Austin Amazing Grace chronicles the 25 year struggle of William Wilberforce, an independent Member of Parliament to end the slave trade in the British Empire and is based closely upon the true story. In the movie, Wilberforce must decide whether to continue his long struggle to end slavery or dedicate himself to his Christian faith as a church pastor. The movie provides a unique Christian viewpoint of the Liberty Movement, and fascinating details of politics, tactics, and personalities in the 18th century British Empire.
